Bulk Board Orders: A Practical Checklist for School Administrators

22 March 2026 6 min readBy Rangoli Creatives

Re-boarding twenty classrooms over summer vacation? Here is the checklist that keeps the project on time, on budget and off your desk.

Measure once, order once

Walk every room with a tape and a notebook. Record wall width, height, obstructions (switchboards, fans, screens), and current board condition. Ten minutes per room prevents the two classic disasters: boards that do not fit, and rooms forgotten entirely.

Group rooms by size. Most schools find three sizes cover everything — typically 3×4 ft for standard rooms, 4×6 ft for large rooms, and a few custom sizes for odd walls.

Match quality to usage, not to budget alone

Main subject classrooms with six-plus periods daily deserve ceramic or magnetic boards. Libraries, staffrooms and labs with light use are fine on deluxe-range boards. Splitting your order this way typically saves 20–30% against buying one uniform quality — with zero visible compromise.

Ask for a written warranty per series and keep the invoice with series names listed room-wise. When a board needs service two years later, that document decides whether it is free.

Schedule installation like a school, not a factory

The right window is vacation — summer or Dussehra break — with rooms empty and no timetable pressure. Confirm the delivery date, installation team size, and daily room count in writing. A good team fits 15–25 boards a day, so a full school is typically a two-to-three-day job.

Finally, keep one spare board in store. Schools always find one more room — a new section, a converted lab — in the middle of the academic year when freight and fitting cost the most.

Board questions? Ask the factory.
